No need for expensive cameras for this story. Simple mobile phones bring you the experiences of Amrita SeRVe's first summer camps for village children. Our Village Coordinators, though not pro photographers, captured these precious moments.

The camps were conducted in collaboration with Amrita CREATE, our education partner. The aim of the camps was to teach the village children how in today's 21st century world, they can still rely upon the traditions of India's ancient culture. Being children from families of limited means, this also meant teaching them how it is still possible for them to achieve success in life.

Children from Ratanpur, Bihar; Indpur, Himachal Pradesh; Pandori, Jammu & Kashmir; Devgain, Jharkhand; Guptapada, Odisha; Maira, Punjab; Harirampura, Rajasthan; Shyamoli, Rajasthan; Kodur, Telangana and Kalinagar, West Bengal took part. AMMACHI Labs held the camp in Dunda, Uttarakhand.
